Abu Dhabi, UAE – Dr. Anwar Gargash, diplomatic advisor to the President of the UAE, confirmed that attempts to control the Strait of Hormuz or infringe on the UAE’s maritime sovereignty are nothing but pipe dreams.

Gargash said on the X platform: “We have become accustomed to Iranian bullying for many decades until it became part of the political scene in the Arabian Gulf”. Credibility was lost between aggressive rhetoric and hollow statements of friendship.

Gargash added: “Today, after the brutal Iranian aggression, the regime is trying to establish a new reality born from a clear military defeat, but attempts to control the Strait of Hormuz or infringe on the UAE’s maritime sovereignty are nothing but pipe dreams”.

He continued: “Whoever wants to coexist with his Arab surroundings must realize that trust is missing”. Its restoration is not achieved through slogans, but rather through responsible language, the preservation of sovereignty, and a true commitment to the principles of good neighborliness.
