Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE condemned in the strongest terms the treacherous terrorist attacks with drones coming from Iraqi territory. One of them targeted the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant last Sunday, hitting an electric generator outside the plant’s interior.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed, in a statement, the UAE’s denunciation in the strongest terms and its absolute rejection of the heinous terrorist attacks emanating from Iraqi territory. Which targets vital civilian facilities in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in flagrant violation of their sovereignty and airspace. A clear violation of the provisions of international law, international humanitarian law, and the United Nations Charter.

The need to deal with these threats urgently, immediately and responsibly, in accordance with relevant international and regional laws and conventions.
The Ministry also stressed the importance of Iraq playing its role in establishing security and stability in the region. In a way that preserves its sovereignty and enhances its position as an effective and responsible partner in its regional environment
