Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack targeting the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the United Arab Emirates.

It also affirmed its complete rejection of any acts targeting vital facilities and civilian infrastructure,

as these pose a direct threat to the region’s security and stability.

Saudi Arabia rejects targeting facilities

Saudi Arabia affirmed that targeting vital facilities, particularly peaceful nuclear facilities,

constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and norms.

It also represents a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and the safety of civilians.

Saudi Arabia called for respect for international law and for civilian facilities to be spared any hostile acts.

Full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates

The Kingdom emphasized its full solidarity with the sisterly United Arab Emirates in confronting any threats targeting its security and stability.

It affirmed its support for all measures taken by the UAE to protect its territory and vital installations.

The Kingdom also supports efforts to maintain the security of its citizens and residents.

Calls for de-escalation

Saudi Arabia stressed the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to maintain the region’s security and stability.

It also called for action to prevent any escalation that could threaten international navigation or civilian and energy infrastructure.

Furthermore, it emphasized the need to prioritize political and diplomatic solutions to avoid widening the circle of tension in the region.
