Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a phone call from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
During the call, Sisi expressed Egypt’s condemnation of
the Iranian attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in the UAE.
Full Egyptian solidarity
During the call, the Egyptian President affirmed that these attacks constitute a clear violation of state sovereignty
and a blatant breach of the principles of international law and the UN Charter.
Furthermore, they pose a direct threat to regional security and stability.
President El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates
and its support for all measures taken by the UAE to preserve its security and stability,
including ensuring the safety of its citizens and national assets.
Discussion of regional developments
The call addressed the fraternal relations between the two countries,
as well as discussing developments in the region and the serious
repercussions of military escalation on regional and international security.
This call comes within the framework of ongoing coordination between Egypt and UAE.
Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening joint cooperation
and continuing consultations on regional issues of mutual interest.
This contributes to supporting stability in the region.
