  • Continued defensive readiness

Washington, United States – The Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dan Keane, confirmed that all recent Iranian attacks do not rise to the level

that would prompt the United States to resume large-scale combat operations in the region.

Military assessment of the situation

The military official explained, in statements carried by media outlets,

that the current threat assessment indicates it does not warrant a major military escalation.

However, he emphasized that the US military continues to closely monitor the situation

and take the necessary measures to ensure the protection of US interests and those of its allies.

On the other hand, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff indicated that the nature of the recent attacks,

while serious, does not represent a strategic shift that would necessitate

a change in the rules of engagement or a return to large-scale military operations.

Continued defensive readiness

He affirmed that US forces are fully prepared to deal with any potential developments.

However, he noted that the US reserves the right to respond should threats escalate or its interests be directly attacked.

In a related context, the US official emphasized the importance of international efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region.

He also called on all parties to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could exacerbate regional tensions.
