Fujairah, UAE – The Fujairah Government Media Office announced that authorities detected a fire in the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone (FOIZ) after the site was targeted by a drone.

It also confirmed that Civil Defense teams immediately responded to the incident and are working to contain and control the fire.

Immediate response from emergency teams

The statement explained that Civil Defense teams in the Emirate of Fujairah responded immediately to the fire site upon its outbreak.

Rapid response plans for major industrial incidents were activated to contain the fire and minimize potential damage.

Efforts are ongoing to fully control the blaze and secure the site.

Authorities confirmed that initial assessments are underway to determine the extent of the losses

and damage caused by the incident, both to infrastructure and vital facilities in the area.

They also emphasized that specialized technical teams are inspecting the site to ensure

its safety and prevent any further repercussions from the fire.

Investigations to determine the circumstances of the attack

The media office indicated that investigations have already begun to uncover the circumstances of the incident

and determine all details related to the attack, including the origin of the drone and those responsible for launching it.

It confirmed that the relevant authorities are closely monitoring developments, in coordination with the competent security agencies.

This aims to ensure that necessary measures are taken and to enhance security and safety levels.

The statement emphasized that the safety of workers and facilities is a top priority.

Furthermore, efforts continue to ensure stability in the industrial area, with official authorities closely monitoring all developments.
