Al Ain, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chief of the Presidential Court, and His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region,
inaugurated the second edition of the UAE Agriculture Conference and Exhibition 2026 in Al Ain.
Their Highnesses also reviewed the latest technologies and innovations that enhance
the efficiency of local agricultural production and address climate challenges.
They affirmed that food security is a top strategic priority for the UAE. The exhibition, which runs until April 26,
aims to establish a resilient agricultural model that combines traditional heritage with artificial intelligence, thereby ensuring a sustainable future.

Leadership vision for sustainable agricultural production
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed that the UAE’s agricultural
sector is undergoing a qualitative transformation thanks to the support of the wise leadership.
He pointed out that adopting modern technologies is key to increasing production efficiency and achieving sustainability.
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized
the importance of youth engagement and innovation in this vital sector.
He also affirmed that this enhances the competitiveness of local products
and contributes to the comprehensive development renaissance.
He considered empowering farmers and developing their working methods
to be the true guarantee for confronting disruptions in global supply chains.
Launch of the national project
Her Excellency Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment,
announced the launch of the “UAE National Project for Good Agricultural Practices.”
This project aims to have 80% of local farms obtain international quality certification.
Her Excellency explained that this initiative is a gateway to enhancing the competitiveness of national crops in international markets.
She also emphasized that national farms represent the “first line of defense” for food security.
She noted that the Ministry is working to utilize artificial intelligence to transform
the challenges of resource scarcity into abundant production with the highest sustainability standards.

An integrated platform to support farmers and youth
The exhibition offers a rich experience across four tracks: farmers, education, community, and entrepreneurs.
It also features a farmers’ market, a livestock tent, and dedicated platforms for Emirati women farmers and children.
The exhibition serves as a bridge between scientific research
and practical application through the participation of national universities.
Furthermore, interactive workshops are held to instill the values of sustainability and home gardening in families.
In this way, the exhibition reflects the integrated efforts of the government, private,
and academic sectors to build a comprehensive agricultural system.
