Abu Dhabi, UAE – UAE air defenses detected seven ballistic missiles today (March 5, 2026). Six ballistic missiles were intercepted and destroyed, while one ballistic missile fell within UAE territory.

Additionally, 131 drones were detected. 125 drones were intercepted, while six fell within UAE territory.

The outcome of confronting Iranian aggression

Since the start of the blatant Iranian aggression, 196 ballistic missiles have been detected. 181 ballistic missiles were destroyed, 13 fell into the sea, and 2 landed within the country’s territory.

Additionally, 1,072 Iranian drones were detected, and 1,001 were intercepted. 71 drones landed within the country’s territory. 8 cruise missiles were also detected and destroyed.

Victims and injuries

These attacks resulted in three deaths of Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationals, and 94 minor injuries of Emirati, Egyptian, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, and Turkish nationals.

The Ministry of Defense affirms its readiness to address any threats. It will resolutely confront any attempt to destabilize the nation’s security, ensuring its sovereignty, security, and stability, and protecting its national interests and resources.
