Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE Ministry of Defense announced today that it intercepted 11 ballistic missiles and 123 Iranian drones, confirming that its air defense systems dealt with the threats with high efficiency and prevented them from reaching their targets.
In an official statement, the Ministry explained that monitoring and tracking operations were carried out immediately upon detection of the hostile targets. Air defense systems were then activated according to established rules of engagement. This resulted in the complete neutralization of the attacks without any significant damage.
She affirmed that the armed forces’ defense readiness is at its highest level, emphasizing that protecting airspace and the security of citizens and residents is a top priority, given the escalating tensions in the region.
Observers believe that the scale of the announced attacks reflects the current level of escalation. On the other hand, the interception figures indicate advanced defensive capabilities and a rapid response to complex threats. This is particularly evident given the attacks’ reliance on a combination of ballistic missiles and drones.
These developments are occurring within a tense regional context. As the pace of reciprocal attacks intensifies, international calls for restraint and avoiding a wider confrontation that could threaten the stability of the entire region are growing.
