Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a telephone call from His Excellency Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, during which he affirmed his country’s full solidarity with the UAE following the Iranian attacks on its territory and a number of sister countries in the region, and its support for all measures taken by the UAE to preserve its sovereignty, national security and territorial integrity.

Clear condemnation of the violations

The Kazakh president condemned these attacks, emphasizing that they constitute a blatant violation of state sovereignty and the principles of international law, and pose a direct threat to regional security and stability. He stressed that the continuation of such acts would undermine international efforts to promote regional peace and security, and called for restraint and a return to reason.

Emirati appreciation for the supportive stance

For his part, His Highness the President of the UAE expressed his gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan for his sincere expressions of solidarity and supportive stance, which reflects the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries. His Highness affirmed that the UAE will continue to take all necessary measures to protect its national security and safeguard its sovereignty in accordance with international laws and norms.

Joint call for de-escalation

During the call, both sides emphasized the importance of an immediate cessation of escalatory actions and resorting to diplomatic solutions and serious dialogue to overcome the current crises. They stressed that strengthening communication and dialogue channels is the best way to preserve the region’s security and the stability of its people, and to avoid further tensions that could negatively impact regional and international security.
