Stockholm, Sweden – The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) reports that the UAE’s EDGE Group has appeared in the list of the world’s top 100 arms companies for 2024. It recorded revenues of $4.29 billion, making it one of the most prominent defense companies in the Middle East.

This statistic reflects the rapid growth of Emirati arms manufacturers. It also underscores the UAE’s position as a regional power in the advanced defense technology and weaponry sector, particularly in the areas of integrated systems, drones, and defense vehicles.

EDGE is among a list of major global companies from the United States, China, Russia, and Europe. This underscores the competitiveness of the UAE’s defense sector on an international level and reflects the country’s efforts to enhance self-sufficiency and exports in the fields of defense and military technology.

Defense industry experts said that EDGE Group’s revenues highlight the UAE’s ability to leverage local innovation in the defense strategy sector. This also reflects its expanding presence in global markets, making it an influential player in the global arms industry.
