Bali, Indonesia – Mubadala Energy and BLN Energy Bremer Indonesia, a subsidiary of the Indonesian National Electricity Company, announced the signing of a preliminary agreement to supply natural gas from Mubadala Energy’s gas fields in the Andaman Sea.
This framework represents a milestone in Indonesia’s energy sector, and this upcoming partnership is a significant achievement for Indonesia’s energy sector.
The two parties will work to reduce dependence on existing liquefied natural gas supplies and develop sustainable solutions to meet growing domestic demand.
The MoU provides the foundations for energy security priorities for North Sumatra and Aceh from the Tangkulu gas field, which lies approximately 65 kilometers north off the coast of Sumatra and contains reserves of more than 2 trillion cubic feet of gas.
