Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Dubai Press Club announced that it will organize the fifth edition of Dubai Podvest. It will occur under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. The event is scheduled for September 30, with the participation of a group of the most prominent Arab media institutions and content creators. Additionally, regional institutions specializing in the podcasting industry will attend. They will anticipate the future of podcasting. Moreover, they will highlight the developments taking place in this digital industry in the region.

The event coincides with World Podcast Day. On this day, audio content creators around the world celebrate the power of influence and wide spread of this media outlet. It is celebrated among various audience groups. This confirms Dubai Podvest’s position as the first event of its kind in the Arab region.

The event represents a unique platform for exchanging expertise and experiences between content creators. It provides a clear vision of the needs required to advance this media industry. This is in line with the global boom witnessed in listening and production rates in the field of podcasts.

The event provides participants with the opportunity to learn about best practices and successful experiences regionally and internationally. In addition, it discusses the most prominent challenges facing audio content creators. It considers ways to transform these challenges into opportunities for development and excellence.

It also contributes to strengthening partnerships between media institutions and entities that support creative content. This supports the growth of this promising industry. Furthermore, it consolidates Dubai’s position as a leading center that embraces innovative talents and initiatives in the digital media sector.

Strategic vision

On this occasion, Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice President and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, said that organizing the fifth edition of “Dubai Podvest” under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, embodies His Highness’s strategic vision. His vision aims to make Dubai a center for Arab media and a pivotal platform for developing creative content. Furthermore, it aims to make Dubai a global destination for new media makers.

Her Excellency said: “The directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum set us a clear goal. This goal is to consolidate Dubai’s position as the capital of Arab media. It is achieved not only by keeping pace with the latest global developments but also by actively contributing to shaping the features of the digital media landscape. Furthermore, we aim to create qualitative opportunities for Arab cadres. These opportunities will provide influential content capable of competing globally.”

Mona Al Marri added: “Dubai Podvest, which coincides with World Podcast Day, has become the most prominent event of its kind in the region. It provides a comprehensive platform that includes an elite group of Emirati and Arab media professionals. Additionally, regional production companies and distinguished content creators gather. They discuss ways to support this industry as it spreads and expand its reach”.

She stressed that the Dubai Press Club will continue to launch initiatives that enhance the ability of the Arab media. These initiatives help keep pace with the future and establish Dubai’s position as an incubator for creators and those with innovative ideas.

For her part, Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, said that organizing the fifth edition of Dubai Podvest confirms the Dubai Press Club’s commitment. This commitment is to support and empower the audio content industry in the Arab world.

She added, “Through this event, we are keen to provide a platform that brings together elite creators, producers, and specialized institutions. This platform aims to discuss ways to develop Arab digital content. Additionally, it enhances its ability to compete regionally and internationally”.

She said that the continued success of “Dubai Podvest” from its first launch until today clearly reflects Dubai’s forward-looking vision. Also, it highlights its constant keenness to invest in developing creative minds and talents.

The Dubai Press Club invited all those interested in the podcast industry, including content creators, media professionals, entrepreneurs, and media science students.
