Dubai, UAE – Dubai Police General Command announced the arrest of an internationally wanted Irish national, identified as D.J.K., as part of its ongoing efforts to pursue internationally wanted individuals and combat organized crime. The arrest was made in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and relevant judicial authorities, and the suspect will be extradited to Ireland in accordance with established legal procedures.
The wanted person was apprehended within 48 hours
Police explained that the arrest came after receiving an official case file from Irish authorities detailing the crimes attributed to the suspect and his role within an organized criminal gang. The Dubai Public Prosecution issued an arrest warrant on April 15th. Security forces were able to locate and apprehend him within just 48 hours through meticulous search and investigation operations.
International cooperation and judicial coordination
Dubai Police confirmed that the operation reflects the high level of coordination with international law enforcement agencies, most notably Interpol. They noted that judicial and security cooperation contributed to the swift execution of procedures and the arrest of the suspect, thus strengthening global efforts to combat transnational crime.
