Beirut, Lebanon – Lebanese media reported the death of artist Ali Younes and his daughter Celine, as a result of an Israeli raid that targeted their home in the village of Al-Lubieh in southern Lebanon, during the early hours of Thursday morning.
The raid before the ceasefire
Reports indicated that the raid occurred only about half an hour before the ceasefire was to take effect, adding a tragic dimension to the incident, given the escalation of military operations in recent hours.
The absence of funeral details
The family of the late artist has not yet announced the date of the funeral or the details of the condolences, amid a state of sadness that has gripped his fans and colleagues in the artistic community.
آخر كلمات قبل الرحيل
The last thing Ali Younes posted on his Facebook account was a post in which he expressed his deep concern about the developments in southern Lebanon, where he wrote: “In southern Lebanon there is a state of ‘holding breath’ and extreme anticipation, as the situation oscillates between hope for an anticipated humanitarian truce and a violent field escalation aimed at imposing new realities before a ceasefire.”
