  • Long-Term Financing Structure and Debt Repayment
  • Operational Headwinds and Global Market Pressures

London – Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings has finalized a new £550 million (approximately $736 million) financing agreement with HPS Investment Partners, a subsidiary of U.S. investment giant BlackRock, aimed at bolstering liquidity and stabilizing its financial foundation.

Long-Term Financing Structure and Debt Repayment

The financing package is secured by assets from a newly established entity alongside core group assets. The agreement comprises a £450 million senior secured long-term loan and a £100 million delayed-draw facility. Aston Martin also retains an option to access an additional £100 million junior credit facility.

The automaker plans to utilize the funds to pay down a £170 million revolving credit facility and clear outstanding balances from a loan provided by a shareholder consortium led by Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll. The transaction is expected to elevate the company’s cash liquidity to roughly £340 million by the end of June.

Operational Headwinds and Global Market Pressures

The British luxury manufacturer has encountered severe balance-sheet pressures stemming from delayed vehicle launches, quality control issues, weakening luxury demand across China, and the impact of U.S. import tariffs.

Through this refinancing move, Aston Martin aims to optimize its debt profile, securing the operational runway needed to execute its product roadmap and withstand volatility in the global luxury automotive market.

Aston Martin’s new financing deal provides crucial balance-sheet relief, allowing the iconic luxury brand to refinance high-cost debt and focus on resolving operational delays and navigating challenging global sales conditions.
