  • The future of smart mobility

Toyota is preparing to officially join the list of car companies that support the Apple Car Key digital car key feature, in a move that reflects the accelerating shift towards smart vehicles.

This move will allow iPhone and Apple Watch users to unlock and start their cars with complete ease.

This eliminates the need for them to carry traditional keys in their daily commutes.

It evolved from “remote communication” to “Apple Wallet”

In fact, Toyota’s new approach comes as an improvement on the previous

digital key feature that it offered as part of the “remote calling” package.

However, the key difference lies in the ability for users to now store the key within the “Wallet” application;

The system will rely on NFC technology; simply bring the device close to the car’s reader.

This provides a smoother user experience and greater integration with Apple’s operating system.

Advanced security

Moreover, the new feature is not limited to just opening doors,

but extends to include advanced security levels such as facial recognition (Face ID).

Accordingly, drivers will benefit from a “fast start mode”

that combines speed and superior protection.

This represents added value, especially in busy environments that require an immediate response.

This ensures the preservation of the vehicle’s privacy and security.

official announcement

Although Toyota has not yet announced a specific launch date,

expectations point to an official announcement soon;

Especially since Apple recently revealed its plans to expand the feature to include 13 new brands.

Thus, Toyota joins giants such as Mercedes, BMW and Hyundai,

This underscores the growing global reliance on this technology

in both the luxury and economy car sectors.

The future of smart mobility

In conclusion, this move is part of Apple’s strategy to deepen the integration of

its devices into the details of daily life,

while for Toyota it represents a qualitative leap towards digital innovation.

Therefore, this collaboration opens new horizons for the future of smart mobility,

contributing to providing the highest levels of comfort and safety for drivers in the digital age.
