Istanbul, Turkey – Turkish press reports have revealed new developments regarding the future of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, after Trabzonspor submitted an official offer to sign him during the current summer transfer window.

This comes as the player remains without a club following the end of his career with Liverpool, after a journey that lasted 9 years inside the Anfield fortress.

Turkish journalist Yagiz Oglu stated on his X platform account that Trabzonspor officials held a meeting with Mohamed Salah’s representative before submitting a formal offer that included a two-year contract and an annual salary of 17 million euros.

He explained that the player’s agent conveyed the details of the offer to Salah, who initially welcomed the idea, but preferred to discuss it with his family members before making his final decision regarding his future.

This development comes after the name of the Egyptian national team captain was linked in recent weeks with a move to Besiktas, with numerous reports indicating his imminent arrival at the Turkish club, before Trabzonspor entered the race to sign him.

In the same context, French journalist Santi Ona confirmed that negotiations between Trabzonspor and Mohamed Salah have reached an advanced stage, indicating that the club is close to reaching a final agreement with the player.

He added that this development prompted Besiktas to suspend its negotiations with Salah until further notice, despite having previously reached a verbal agreement with the player, which included a one-season contract with the possibility of extending it for an additional year, for a net annual salary of 10 million euros, in addition to 2 million euros in bonuses.
