Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Sharjah FC announced on Sunday the official signing of Togolese striker Laba Kodjo on a free transfer, to strengthen the team’s ranks before the start of the 2026-2027 season.
The club confirmed, via its official account on the “X” platform, that Kodjo signed a two-season contract, joining the ranks of “The King” after the end of his journey with Al Ain.
Sharjah wrote in its statement: “In a free transfer deal, Sharjah signs Togolese player Laba Kodjo for two seasons.. Welcome to the King’s Castle”.
The signing of Laba Kodjo comes as part of Sharjah’s management plan to strengthen the front line with an element that has extensive experience in the ADNOC Pro League, after he spent successful years with Al Ain.
During his time with “Al-Zaeem”, the Togolese striker established himself as one of the most prominent scorers in the competition, and contributed to achieving many positive results, thanks to his scoring abilities and his influential presence inside the penalty area.
Kodjo is expected to join Sharjah’s training camp in the coming days, in preparation for the start of his journey with the team in the new season, during which “The King” looks forward to competing in various championships.
