Seattle, USA – Hossam Hassan, the coach of the Egyptian national team, has largely settled on the lineup he will field against Iran, scheduled for Saturday morning, as part of the third and final round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.
The coaching staff aims to make four changes to the starting lineup that played in the last match, as part of their efforts to achieve victory and secure qualification for the round of 32.
The defense line is expected to see the participation of the duo Mohamed Abdel Moneim and Rami Rabia in the center of defense, instead of Hossam Abdel Maguid and Yasser Ibrahim, in light of the injury of the former and the technical staff’s intention to rest the latter.
Hossam Hassan is also expected to field Mahmoud Saber in midfield at the expense of Marwan Attia, while Mostafa Zico will lead the attack instead of Omar Marmoush, who is expected to start the match on the bench.
