Atlanta, USA – The Moroccan national team secured its place in the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, after achieving a thrilling 4-2 victory over Haiti, in the match that brought them together early Thursday morning as part of the third and final round of the group stage.
The “Atlas Lions” struggled against the Haitian national team, which surprised everyone by taking the lead twice during the first half, before the Moroccan team managed to come back and decide the match during the second half thanks to its experience and offensive effectiveness.
Haiti opened the scoring early in the tenth minute when Lenny Jones’ shot was deflected into the Moroccan net by goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, giving his country its first World Cup goal since the 1974 edition.
