Brussels, Belgium – The Belgian national team achieved a resounding victory over their Tunisian guests with a score of 5-0, in the friendly match that brought them together this evening at the King Baudouin Stadium in the capital, Brussels, as part of the two teams’ preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
The Belgian team imposed its control over the course of the match from the beginning, succeeding in opening the scoring in the 27th minute through Leandro Trossard after a pass from Jeremy Doku, before Charles De Ketelaere added the second goal at the start of the second half.
The task became more complicated for the Carthage Eagles in the 61st minute after Ismail Gharbi was sent off after receiving his second yellow card. The home team quickly took advantage of the numerical disadvantage, and Kevin De Bruyne scored the third goal in the 65th minute with another assist from Doku.
In the final minutes, the Belgian team continued their attacking dominance, with Dodi Lukebakio scoring the fourth goal in the 85th minute, before Nicolas Raskin concluded the goal fest with the fifth just two minutes later.
With this result, Belgium sends a strong message to its rivals ahead of the World Cup, where it begins its campaign in Group G against Egypt, followed by matches against Iran and New Zealand. Meanwhile, Tunisia will compete in Group F alongside Sweden, the Netherlands, and Japan.
