Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Saudi press reports indicate that Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, former manager of Al-Nassr FC, is close to embarking on a new coaching experience. He is expected to take on this role in the near future.
Jesus had announced his departure from coaching Al-Nassr after leading the team to the Saudi League title. He had taken over the position on a one-year contract until the summer of 2026.
According to the Saudi newspaper Al-Youm, the Portuguese coach has entered into negotiations with Turkish club Fenerbahçe to take over as head coach starting next season.
The newspaper added that Jesus prefers a return to the Turkish league, given his good relationship with the club. He previously coached Fenerbahçe during the 2022-2023 season.
During his previous experience with the Turkish team, the Portuguese coach succeeded in winning the Turkish Cup title, before later leaving his position.
Jesus has not yet officially announced his next destination. However, rumors are circulating that he is close to returning to Fenerbahce.
