Abu Dhabi, UAE – Al Wasl maintained their hold on third place in the ADNOC Pro League standings, after turning a deficit into a valuable 2-1 victory over hosts Al Jazira. The match took place on Monday evening at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, as part of the 25th and penultimate round of the competition.

Al Jazira opened the scoring in the 36th minute, after Al Wasl defender Adrelson Silva accidentally turned the ball into his own net, following a shot from Frenchman Nabil Fekir.

Despite being behind, Al Wasl managed to come back during the second half, after Siaka Sidibe scored the equalizer in the 64th minute. Before substitute Fabio Lima snatched the killer winning goal in the 90th minute.
