Abu Dhabi, UAE – Ajman achieved an important victory over their host Dibba with two goals to nil, in the match that brought them together this evening at Dibba Stadium, as part of the 25th and penultimate round of the ADNOC Pro League.
The first half started off evenly, with limited attempts from both teams without any real danger to the goal, before Dibba’s task became complicated in the 37th minute after their captain, Khaled Abdullah, was sent off following a strong tackle on Ismail Momen.
Ajman took advantage of the numerical disadvantage of the home team during the second half, and succeeded in opening the scoring in the 55th minute through a shot from Guilherme Sosegan from inside the penalty area.
Ajman continued their attempts to increase the score, while Dibba tried to get back into the game despite the numerical disadvantage, as Ali Al Hosani saved more than one dangerous attempt, most notably two shots by Carlos Vinicius.
In stoppage time, Ajman sealed the victory with a second goal after Habib Abdullah, a Dibba player, accidentally turned Walid Azaro’s pass into his own net.
