Liverpool thrash West Ham 5-2 and continue their progress in the Premier League

Liverpool, England – Liverpool rained down five goals on their guest West Ham United, in the match that brought them together on Saturday evening at Anfield Stadium, as part of the 28th round of the English Premier League.

The home side entered the match with intense attacking pressure, and succeeded in opening the scoring early in the fifth minute through Hugo Ekiteke, before Virgil van Dijk doubled the score in the 24th minute.

Before the end of the first half, Alexis Mac Allister strengthened the Reds’ lead by scoring the third goal in the 43rd minute, ending the first half with a clear advantage for the home team.

As the second half began, West Ham tried to get back into the game, and Tomas Soucek reduced the deficit in the 49th minute, but Cody Gakpo restored the three-goal lead by scoring Liverpool’s fourth in the 70th minute.

The exchange of attacks continued, with West Ham scoring their second goal in the 75th minute through Tati Castellanos, but Axel Disasi ended the visitors’ hopes by adding the fifth goal in the 82nd minute, sealing the victory for the Reds with a score of (5-2).

With this victory, Liverpool moved up to fifth place with 48 points, while West Ham remained in eighteenth place with 25 points.
