Dubai, UAE – The Emirates Modern Sailing and Rowing Federation announced the participation of the UAE national modern sailing team in the 32nd edition of yesterday’s International Championship. Hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain from June 23 to 27.
The UAE national team includes 4 players: Othman Al Hammadi and Majed Al Marzouqi in the “Elka 6” category, and Hamad Al Muhairi in the “Optimist” category. Abdullah Al Muhairi is in the “Elka 4” category, while the delegation is headed by Mohammed Al Obaidli, Secretary General of the Emirates Modern Sailing and Rowing Federation.
Al-Obaidli stressed that the participation comes within the Federation’s strategy, which aims to develop national teams and enhance their presence in regional and international tournaments. In addition to providing opportunities for players to interact and gain experience.
He pointed out that the national team is looking forward to achieving positive results that reflect the continuous development of modern sailing in the UAE. It confirms the players’ ability to compete in various regional and international forums.
