Cairo, Egypt – An informed source within Al Ahly club revealed that Mohamed El Shenawy is close to returning to guard the team’s goal in the match against Wadi Degla in the Egyptian Premier League.

El Shenawy was on the bench during Al Ahly’s last match against Young Africans of Tanzania in the CAF Champions League, raising questions about his place in the starting lineup.

The source explained that the coaching staff, led by Yce Torop, decided to reinstate El Shenawy to the starting lineup for the Wadi Degla match, relying on his experience at this stage of the competition.

Al Ahly are scheduled to play Wadi Degla tomorrow, Tuesday, at Cairo Stadium, as part of the sixteenth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Al Ahly occupies third place in the standings with 23 points, while Wadi Degla comes in fourth place with the same number of points, which gives the match special importance in the struggle for the top positions.
