Argentina – In a scene befitting one of the most influential players in football history, a team of Argentinian artists launched a massive art project to commemorate the passing of the legendary Diego Maradona. This is being done through the creation of 60 new murals covering the walls of the streets and working-class neighborhoods where his early dreams were nurtured.

The participating artists, a mix of young talents and professionals, ensured that each mural told a separate story. One mural depicts his legendary dribbling skills, another recaptures his exuberant celebrations after his spectacular goals, and a third portrays the moment he lifted the World Cup trophy, bringing tears of joy to millions of Argentinians.

The initiative quickly turned into a public event, as residents and tourists flocked to document the moment with photographs. It was as if the walls themselves were trying to speak with Maradona’s voice, reviving his overwhelming presence that still pervades stadiums, homes, and cafes.

The project organizers emphasized that the goal goes beyond the usual tributes. It’s an attempt to connect new generations with the story of a player who made football a philosophy of life and left an indelible mark on the hearts of Argentina and the world.

Amidst the noise of the streets and the colors of graffiti, his memory seems more present this year. It’s as if Maradona has returned once again, but this time through art that fills the walls with the living legend.
