Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Emirates Athletics Federation announced the approval of the participation of 12 male and female players in the third West Asian Championship for young men and women under 20 years of age, “Beirut 2025”.

Which starts tomorrow and continues until October 5, with the participation of about 250 male and female players from 10 countries.

The UAE national team participates in speed, jump, throw and hammer throw competitions.

The list includes: Maryam Karim, Abdul Quddus Ahmed, Suleiman Abdul Rahman, Abdul Aziz Eid, Salma Al Marri, Al Yaziya Tariq, Aisha Muhammad, Arwa Ali, Azza Nasser, Laila Ahmed, Aminat Qamar Al Din, and Saeed Shuaib.

Major General Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Murr, President of the UAE Athletics Federation, said that this participation is of strategic importance.

Because it is part of the international calendar, and one of the qualifying stations for the U-20 World Championship in the United States of America next year.

He added that the national team’s roster includes promising elements within the federation’s strategy to qualify and prepare future champions.

This is to compete in Arab, continental and international championships, according to technical indicators that confirm the qualitative base in athletics in the UAE.
