  • AI Detecting “Dangerous Behaviors”
  • Anti-Theft Protection and Auto-Locking

California – Android has announced the launch of a new suite of security features aimed at countering the rise in bank fraud and smartphone theft. This move comes in response to the global escalation of cyberattacks targeting users’ financial and sensitive data.

The new updates primarily focus on enhancing protection during suspicious calls, specifically those where scammers employ “social engineering” to deceive users into revealing passwords or making unauthorized bank transfers.

AI Detecting “Dangerous Behaviors”

According to technical reports, the new system will monitor patterns during live calls. If it detects an attempt to persuade the user to install suspicious apps or grant sensitive permissions, the phone will issue immediate alerts or temporarily disable sensitive security functions to prevent a breach.

Anti-Theft Protection and Auto-Locking

In addition to combating scams, the update includes advanced tools for stolen device protection, featuring:

  • Automatic Locking: Triggered when the system detects unusual movement suggesting the phone has been snatched.
  • Data Access Prevention: Extra encryption for sensitive data when unauthorized use is suspected.
  • Behavioral Monitoring: Shifting from traditional passwords to analyzing patterns associated with fraudulent attempts.

Cybersecurity experts view these features as a significant shift in user protection. As reliance on mobile wallets and banking apps grows, smartphones have become the primary target for organized fraud networks, necessitating these proactive AI-driven defenses.
