Tehran, Iran – Iran is nearing final approval from its Supreme National Security Council regarding a negotiated agreement involving the United States and Oman. Consequently, this step prepares the ground for a new chapter in diplomatic engagements aimed at reducing regional escalation.

Furthermore, Axios cited diplomatic sources indicating that Iranian decision-making bodies have nearly finalized their review process. As a result, Iranian negotiators are awaiting the official green light before moving forward with formal implementation.

Omani Mediation and Regional De-escalation Prospects

On the other hand, the Sultanate of Oman continues its vital role as a key mediator bridging gaps between Tehran and Washington. Specifically, these talks aim to establish structured communication channels and de-escalate long-standing bilateral friction.

Additionally, receiving formal sign-off from the Supreme National Security Council serves as a mandatory prerequisite for publicizing the agreement’s detailed terms. Consequently, international observers remain focused on Tehran’s imminent declaration to gauge operational readiness.

Finally, the impending decision by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council places US-Iran diplomacy at a pivotal juncture. Ultimately, granting final authorization will serve as the primary catalyst for putting these diplomatic understandings into effect.
