Manchester, England – Manchester City are close to finalizing a deal for Argentine goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli from French club Olympique Marseille. This move is intended to bolster the team’s squad ahead of the new season.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the completion of the agreement between Manchester City and Marseille regarding the transfer of the Argentine goalkeeper, after a final agreement was reached on the deal.

According to Romano, Rowley will sign a contract with Manchester City that runs until June 2028. There is also a clause that allows it to be extended for an additional season until June 2029.

The Argentine goalkeeper has been given the green light to travel to Manchester. This is in preparation for undergoing medical tests and completing the final steps before the official announcement of the deal.

Recent press reports have revealed negotiations between the two clubs, with the transfer fee estimated at close to €40 million. This comes despite Rulli remaining under contract with Marseille until the summer of 2028.

Manchester City’s move to sign the Argentine goalkeeper comes as the club seeks to bolster its goalkeeping options ahead of competing in various competitions next season.
