The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the Iranian missile attack targeting the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. It affirmed that the attack constitutes a blatant violation of Jordan’s sovereignty and a direct threat to its security and stability.
UAE condemns the attack
In a statement issued Wednesday, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its rejection of the attack, describing it as aggressive and stressing that targeting Jordanian territory constitutes an infringement on the Kingdom’s sovereignty and security amid escalating regional tensions and missile strikes.
Abu Dhabi expressed its firm stance rejecting any actions that endanger Arab nations and the security of their people, underscoring the necessity of respecting state sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Full solidarity with Jordan
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the Emirates’ complete solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, affirming its unwavering support for all measures taken to safeguard Jordan’s security and stability.
Abu Dhabi emphasized standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Amman against threats to its security, at a time when the region is witnessing rapid security developments and reciprocal attacks among regional actors.
Arab Action to Preserve Regional Stability
The UAE’s position aligns with broader Arab efforts expressing solidarity with Jordan and rejecting any attacks on its territory, amid growing concerns over expanding regional escalation and its ramifications for regional security.
According to the ministry’s statement, the UAE reaffirmed its support for all endeavors aimed at preserving Jordan’s security and stability as an integral part of broader regional stability, stressing the urgency of avoiding further escalation that could widen the confrontation.
