Abu Dhabi, UAE – The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the Iranian attack targeting the Saudi oil tanker “Sadr” while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, which resulted in the deaths of several crew members. Abu Dhabi characterized the incident as a dangerous escalation threatening international maritime safety and global energy security.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia, supporting all measures required to protect Saudi vessels and national interests. UAE officials emphasized that the assault constitutes a flagrant violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2817, which calls for safeguarding freedom of navigation and protecting commercial shipping corridors from hostile acts.
