Kuwait – The Kuwaiti Army announced today that its air defense systems successfully intercepted targets within the country’s airspace. This comes amid escalating security tensions in the region in recent hours.

The Kuwaiti Army General Staff confirmed in an official statement that the armed forces dealt with the targets according to established military procedures. It also indicated that the security situation is under control, with a heightened state of readiness and preparedness across all military units.

The statement clarified that the relevant authorities are monitoring developments in coordination with security agencies and other concerned parties to safeguard the country’s security and the safety of citizens and residents. However, the statement did not disclose further details regarding the nature or origin of the targets.

These developments come at a time of rapidly escalating military tensions in the region. This escalation has prompted several Gulf states to raise their alert levels and take precautionary measures to protect their airspace and vital infrastructure.

Kuwaiti authorities urged citizens and residents to rely on official statements as their primary source of information. They also advised against circulating rumors or unverified news on social media platforms.
