Cairo, Egypt – Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi condemned the Iranian attacks that violated the airspace of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,

stressing that they represent a dangerous escalation threatening the security and stability of the region.

He also explained that they endanger the safety of civilians and air navigation.

He reiterated the Arab Parliament’s full solidarity with Jordan.

Condemnation of the attacks on Jordan

In a statement, Al-Yamahi affirmed that the Iranian attacks targeting Jordanian airspace constitute

a violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and an escalation that will further heighten tensions in the region.

He also stressed the necessity of respecting the sovereignty of states and adhering to the rules of international law.

The Speaker of the Arab Parliament indicated that the continuation of such attacks threatens the security of the region.

Furthermore, it affects the safety of civilians and air traffic. He called for urgent steps to be taken to contain the escalation.

Full solidarity with the Kingdom

Al-Yamahi expressed the Arab Parliament’s full solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

He also affirmed support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its national security and preserve its sovereignty.

He emphasized Jordan’s right to take all necessary measures to ensure

the security of its territory and the safety of its citizens in the face of any threats.

Call for international action

Al-Yamahi called on the international community and the UN Security Council to intervene immediately to stop these violations.

He stressed the need to compel all parties to respect international law and the UN Charter,

which would help prevent further tension and escalation in the region.

The Arab Parliament Speaker’s remarks come amid escalating regional tensions and an exchange of attacks in the region.

This follows ongoing Arab and international calls for de-escalation

and prioritizing diplomatic solutions to preserve regional security and stability.
