The State of Qatar and the Republic of Benin discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to discussing a number of regional and international issues of common interest, within the framework of efforts aimed at expanding cooperation and supporting stability and development. This came during an official meeting that brought together officials from both sides, where the two parties reviewed prospects for developing cooperation in political, economic, and investment fields. The discussion also addressed strengthening partnerships in trade, education, and development sectors, in a way that serves the common interests of both friendly peoples.

The talks touched on the latest developments in the Middle East and a number of regional files, with an emphasis on the importance of dialogue and diplomacy as an optimal way to address crises. Officials affirmed the keenness of Qatar and Benin to continue coordination and consultation regarding issues of common interest, which contributes to enhancing bilateral relations and opening new horizons for cooperation in various fields, in light of the continuous development witnessed in relations between Qatar and African countries. The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of continuing to exchange visits between officials and activating joint agreements, which enhances the partnership between Doha and Cotonou and supports common interests and sustainable development.
