Cairo, Egypt – Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy affirmed during a phone call with the Lebanese president that Lebanon will remain a central concern for the Arab League.

He also emphasized the League’s continued support for Lebanon’s just causes and its sovereign rights.

Confirmation of support for Lebanon

The Secretary General clarified that the Arab League continues to stand by Lebanon in facing its challenges.

He also affirmed its commitment to supporting Lebanon’s security and stability

and defending its legitimate rights and sovereignty over all its territory.

Following developments in Lebanon

The call addressed the latest developments in Lebanon, emphasizing the importance of continued coordination

and consultation on issues of mutual interest, in order to serve Lebanon’s interests and enhance its stability.

Ongoing Arab commitment

The Secretary General of the Arab League reaffirmed that Lebanon will remain a focus of the League’s attention.

The League will continue its political and diplomatic support to help

protect Lebanon’s sovereignty and defend its just causes in regional and international forums.
