Baghdad, Iraq – Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi affirmed that the government is continuing its approach to combating corruption and prosecuting those involved.
He emphasized that it will not back down from this path, regardless of the challenges or pressures.
This comes within the framework of its efforts to strengthen the rule of law and protect public funds.
Emphasis on continuing the fight against corruption
The Prime Minister explained that his government is proceeding steadily
and resolutely in pursuing corrupt individuals and taking legal action against them.
He also emphasized that combating corruption is a national priority
aimed at protecting state institutions and strengthening citizens’ trust in government agencies.
Restoring state rights
He noted that the government continues its efforts to recover state rights and public funds.
Furthermore, it is taking all necessary measures to ensure that those involved in corruption cases are held accountable,
thereby contributing to enhanced transparency and the consolidation of integrity principles across all state institutions.
Establishing justice and a state of institutions
The Prime Minister emphasized that the government is committed to establishing a state based on institutions and justice.
He affirmed that applying the law to everyone without exception is a fundamental pillar of its government program.
He added that the ongoing reforms aim to enhance the efficiency of state institutions
and solidify the principles of good governance in a way that serves the interests of citizens and supports stability in the country.
