Brussels, Belgium – The US ambassador to NATO affirmed that the United States continues to work with its allies to support Ukraine.

He also stressed that Washington expects European member states of the alliance

to shoulder a greater share of the burden associated with military and economic support.

Joint support for Ukraine

The US ambassador to NATO said the United States is working in coordination

with its partners within the alliance to ensure continued support for Ukraine.

He also emphasized that cooperation among member states is essential in addressing the security challenges facing Europe.

He added that maintaining a unified stance within the alliance remains a priority at this time.

A call for burden-sharing

The US ambassador noted that Washington expects its European allies to shoulder more responsibilities and burdens,

contributing to a more balanced distribution of the tasks of supporting Ukraine.

He explained that increased contributions from European countries would bolster the alliance’s joint efforts.

Furthermore, it would help ensure the sustainability of aid provided to Kyiv.

Ongoing coordination within the alliance

The US ambassador’s remarks come amid ongoing consultations

among NATO members regarding mechanisms for continuing support to Ukraine.

They also come amid repeated emphasis on the importance of coordination among allies in military and economic spheres.

Alliance members continue to discuss ways to strengthen defense cooperation and responsibility-sharing.

This will ensure continued support for Ukraine in the face of ongoing security challenges.
