Rafah, Egypt – Egypt continued its humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people, with the 222nd “Zad Al-Izza” aid convoy entering the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing. This comes as part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to alleviate the dire humanitarian situation faced by the residents of the Strip. These efforts also aim to provide basic necessities for affected families.
The convoy consists of dozens of trucks loaded with large quantities of humanitarian and relief aid. This aid includes food supplies, flour, food baskets, and bread. In addition, there are medicines and medical supplies. The convoy also contains personal hygiene items, tents, and blankets, which will contribute to supporting the health sector and meeting the needs of displaced persons.
The relevant authorities confirmed that the trucks underwent regulatory procedures and inspections before crossing, in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent and other competent bodies. This aims to ensure that aid reaches those in need within the Gaza Strip as quickly as possible.
This convoy is part of the ongoing relief bridge that Egypt continues to operate regularly to the Gaza Strip. This demonstrates Egypt’s commitment to its humanitarian role and its continued support for the Palestinian people. This support comes amidst the difficult humanitarian conditions in the Strip, and Egypt is keen to ensure the continued flow of aid to alleviate the suffering of civilians.
