Beirut, Lebanon – Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam affirmed that the framework agreement aims to achieve a complete Israeli withdrawal from all Lebanese territory.
He considers this a fundamental step towards establishing stability and strengthening state sovereignty over all its lands.
End any Israeli military presence
The Lebanese Prime Minister explained, in statements carried by Lebanon media,
that the agreement represents a framework for joint action with the relevant
parties to implement the agreed-upon commitments.
It also guarantees the end of any Israeli military presence within Lebanese territory,
while adhering to relevant international resolutions.
Enhancing security and stability on the borders
The Lebanese Prime Minister stressed that Beirut is committed to its national and sovereign rights,
and that any political or security path must lead to the complete restoration of Lebanon territory.
In parallel, security and stability must be strengthened on the southern
border to safeguard Lebanon’s interests and the safety of its citizens.
He indicated that the Lebanese government will continue coordinating with international partners
and relevant parties to ensure the implementation of the agreement’s provisions.
He also emphasized that the next phase requires international support and intensive
diplomatic efforts to consolidate stability and prevent any further escalation in the region.
