Dhaka, Bangladesh – Bangladesh’s Prime Minister began an overseas tour on Sunday that includes Malaysia and China, his first official visit abroad since taking office. The tour is part of his government’s efforts to strengthen economic ties and expand cooperation with Asian partners.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to begin his visit in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur. There, he will hold a series of meetings with senior Malaysian officials to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of investment, trade, and the labor market. He will also discuss the situation of Bangladeshi workers in Malaysia.
Following his visit to Malaysia, the Prime Minister will travel to China for talks with senior officials. These discussions will focus on developing economic and trade relations and increasing Chinese investment in Bangladesh. Additionally, a number of development and infrastructure projects of mutual interest will be discussed.
The visit also includes participation in several international economic events. Dhaka seeks to attract more foreign investment and support its plans for sustainable economic growth and job creation.
This tour comes at a time when the Bangladeshi government is working to strengthen its diplomatic and economic presence in Asia. It aims to leverage its growing relationships with major economic powers in the region. These efforts will contribute to supporting development and achieving its economic goals in the coming years.
