Paris, France – The United Arab Emirates participated in the second edition of the “Paris Call for the Two-State Solution,” hosted by the French Republic. Consequently, the Emirati delegation was led by H.E. Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, alongside international diplomats, experts, and civil society representatives. Moreover, the event aimed to coordinate international efforts to revive the political process and foster stability in the region. As a result, participants discussed implementation mechanisms for the Gaza peace plan and UN Security Council Resolution 2803. Thus, the UAE reaffirmed its commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts and reconstruction, emphasizing that lasting peace requires a clear political vision based on the Two-State Solution.
UAE Commitment to the Gaza Peace Plan
During his intervention, H.E. Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar emphasized the UAE’s commitment to working with international partners to ensure progress on the political track. Accordingly, he highlighted the importance of empowering Palestinian institutions to perform their vital role in the post-conflict phase. In addition, Al Marar expressed the UAE’s grave concern over the continued deterioration of the situation in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip. Conversely, he stated that escalating violence and settler attacks directly undermine peace prospects and obstruct the implementation of the Two-State Solution. Consequently, the UAE called for an end to all settlement activities that exacerbate tensions in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Adherence to International Legitimacy
The UAE stressed that achieving lasting peace requires strict adherence to international legitimacy benchmarks. On the other hand, the UAE urged for intensified regional and international efforts to push the political process forward. Consequently, the ultimate goal remains ending the conflict and establishing security and stability in the region. Ultimately, supporting the Two-State Solution remains a cornerstone of UAE foreign policy, which consistently strives to promote peace and prosperity. Accordingly, the UAE continues to rally international support to ensure a more stable future for the Palestinian people and the entire region, rooted in its profound belief that the Two-State Solution is the only guarantor of justice and peace.
