Paris, France – French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed that the leaders of the G7 nations agreed to continue supporting Ukraine and strengthening its defense capabilities.

He noted that the summit was held amidst complex international circumstances and growing challenges on the global stage.

Continued military support for Ukraine

Speaking at a press conference following the G7 summit, Macron said that participating countries had

agreed to provide Ukraine with air support and necessary defense capabilities.

This is part of efforts to strengthen its ability to confront current security and military challenges.

He added that supporting Kyiv remains a priority for the G7 nations.

He also affirmed continued coordination among allies regarding military and security support mechanisms in the coming period.

Summit amid international challenges

The French president explained that the G7 summit meetings took place amidst complex international circumstances.

These circumstances were marked by intertwined crises on political, security, and economic levels.

Therefore, this necessitated that the leaders discuss a number of pressing issues with global impact.

Macron indicated that the discussions addressed current geopolitical developments

and ways to deal with the challenges facing international security and stability.

Economic issues, energy, and global trade were also discussed.

Closing conference to present the results

Macron’s remarks came during a press conference held at the conclusion of the G7 summit.

He reviewed the key outcomes and understandings reached by the leaders of the participating countries.

The French president affirmed that the group is committed to strengthening cooperation

and joint coordination to address international crises.

He also emphasized the importance of maintaining a unified stance

among member states in light of the rapidly changing global landscape.
