Tehran, Iran – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, in a phone call with his Kuwaiti counterpart, affirmed Tehran’s commitment to a policy of good neighborliness.

He also emphasized Iran’s keenness to strengthen relations with countries in the region in a way that serves common security and stability.

Emphasis on the policy of good neighborliness

According to Iran’s Tasnim news agency, Araqchi emphasized Iran’s commitment to maintaining good neighborly relations with the Gulf states.

He stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and mutual understanding to contribute to regional stability.

Iranian hopes for the success of the Islamabad agreement

Araqchi expressed hope that the Islamabad agreement would contribute to restoring peace and stability in the region.

He also expressed hope that it would pave the way for addressing outstanding issues through diplomacy and dialogue.

Call to strengthen regional dialogue

Araqchi stressed the need to continue dialogue with the Gulf states

to elevate bilateral relations and dispel any ambiguity or misunderstanding.

He added that this would strengthen mutual trust and open broader horizons

for regional cooperation in the coming period.
