Evian, France – Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, participated in the fifty-second session of the G7 Summit. Hosted by France in Evian from June 15 to 17, 2026.
The summit was attended by leaders of the group, which includes France, the United States, Italy, the Federal Republic of Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada and Japan, in addition to a number of participating countries as guests.
The President of the UAE delivered a speech on the occasion of his participation in the summit. During which he stressed that the UAE will remain committed to working side by side with its partners. To promote peace, security, stability, confidence and development at the global level.
He said: “I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, for the warm hospitality and kind invitation to participate in the work of this summit.. I am also pleased to meet friends and partners and be with you today in light of these difficult challenges.

He added: “We are meeting today at a time when our region is witnessing deep unrest and an unprecedented state of accelerating challenges”. Its effects extend beyond the region to affect various parts of the world. We also express our appreciation to the members of the G7 and our partners around the world for the various forms of support they have provided at a time when my country has been defending itself against thousands of treacherous Iranian missile and drone attacks over six consecutive weeks on civilian targets.

The UAE President said that the crisis we are experiencing today has proven that the current challenges require concerted efforts and joint work with others, not in isolation from them. It also emphasizes that flexible supply chains, secure trade routes, and highly efficient infrastructure are essential pillars for enhancing our ability to thrive. It also emphasizes that maintaining global stability is not just a common interest, but a collective responsibility that falls on all of us.
In this context, he appreciated the efforts of US President Donald Trump, which contributed to reaching an agreement on a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran. Stressing that continuous and sustainable peace in the region is based on respect for the sovereignty of states and the principles of good neighbourliness. He stressed that “our participation today embodies our commitment to continuing to strengthen this partnership, and investing in innovation, interconnectedness and adaptability as they are essential pillars for a more prosperous future”.
