Beirut, Lebanon – AFP reports that four people were killed and 127 others wounded in Israeli airstrikes targeting an area near a hospital in southern Lebanon.

The attack resulted in significant civilian casualties and injuries among medical personnel at the targeted site.

The death toll has risen

Initial reports indicated that the attacks targeted the vicinity of the medical facility.

Ambulance and civil defense teams rushed to the scene to transport the wounded and provide them with necessary medical care.

The airstrikes resulted in four deaths and 127 injuries of varying severity, according to a tally reported by Agence France-Presse.

Meanwhile, health authorities are continuing to assess the damage and evaluate the condition of the injured.

Medical teams confirmed that some of the injuries were serious. Therefore, the death toll may rise in the coming hours.

Medical and relief mobilization and continuous escalation

The attacks prompted health institutions and emergency teams to raise their level of preparedness to deal with large numbers of infected people.

At the same time, nearby hospitals received dozens of cases transferred from the site of the raids.

Rescue teams also intensified their efforts in the area to ensure that

there are no additional injured or stranded people in the vicinity of the targeted sites.

These raids come in light of the continuing military escalation in southern Lebanon.

The region has witnessed mutual military operations and increasing tensions during the recent period.

Targeting areas close to medical facilities raises increasing concerns about the humanitarian situation.

At the same time, international calls continue to reduce the escalation and protect civilians

and vital facilities from the repercussions of military confrontations.
