Kathmandu, Nepal – The UAE search and rescue team continued its field missions in the Raswa region of Nepal. This is part of the UAE’s humanitarian efforts to support the Nepalese authorities in search, rescue and response operations. Field operations continue, in coordination with the Nepalese authorities in the Raswa area, with field surveys using advanced equipment and technologies. In addition to using drones in photography, aerial surveying, and preparing 3D maps.

These operations contribute to accelerating search and rescue operations, saving time and effort, and enhancing the efforts made. To alleviate the difficult humanitarian situation in Nepal caused by floods and torrents that have left thousands dead and missing.

Hamoud Al Afari, Director of UAE Relief Operations, said that the Emirati team is harnessing all capabilities to provide humanitarian support. In light of the difficult conditions to reach missing persons in the affected areas and inspect other affected sites with the aim of supporting those affected on an ongoing and continuous basis.
